Reflexology Academy CPD
CPD Presented by Hagar Basis PRM
ART Seminar (Advanced Reflexology Techniques)
ART™ is an evolvement of the traditional approach of finger and thumb walking, which forms the foundation of all good reflexology practitioner training courses. ART is the continuing education for the qualified Reflexologist and teaches effective clinical reflexology. ART techniques form an advanced, complementary approach and are effectively used alongside all modes of reflexology practice including the traditional Original Ingham Method®. Students will be shown how to detect the 'disturbed' reflexes of the feet, learn about the reflexes differing textures, what they mean, and treat them effectively.
This two-day comprehensive seminars provides students with the comprehensive instruction in the skills and techniques pioneered and developed by Anthony Porter over the last 30 years. All ART seminars are post graduate training in advanced techniques for the professional reflexologist.

This is a two-day HANDS ON ALL PRACTICAL WORKSHOP to provide Reflexologists with the necessary tools and techniques to apply during the powerful and transforming processes unique in all stages of a woman's life. Menstruation, fertility; through to the onset of menopause and including the development of female sexuality, are naturally intense internal physical and psychological experiences unique to women.
The focus of the practical techniques taught will be to support women through the myriad of hormonal changes encountered during each cyclical change; the treatment of dis-ease associated with any imbalances which include working both urological and gynaecological disorders.
Hagar's 26 years of practical experience as a practitioner and reflexology educator and has enabled her to adapt, refine and develop techniques from both the Original Ingham Method and Advanced Reflexology Techniques (ART) to enhance their therapeutic effectiveness. On completion of the 2 days, all participants will receive a Reflexology Academy CPD Certificate.
Orthopedic Reflexology is about utilizing the experience one has obtained in discriminating the reflex areas or the condition of the foot's tissues and then applying the correct technique, the proper amount of pressure for the appropriate amount of time, to achieve the "medium" as taught by Hippocrates in order for nature to heal. Orthopedic Reflexology practitioners use the condition of the tissues of the feet as a guide. Anatomical charts to understand the reflexes, zones, meridians and fascia, as well as to effectively manipulate the feet.
Spiros Dimitrakoulas is the founder and originator of Orthopedic Reflexology , he teaches reflexology to students at Natural Health Science in Athens, Greece. He is also a tutor for MNT-NR (Nerve Reflexology), teaching both AT-R (anatomical topographical reflexology) and Nerve Reflexology courses. Spiros is the former President of the Hellenic Association of Reflexology (HAR) and the current newly elected Chair of Reflexology in Europe Network - RIEN, which aims to progress reflexology within Europe, developing standards in education and promoting research into reflexology.

Reflexotherapy of the Feet (RTF) Presented by Hanne Marquardt
We are pleased to announce that Hanne Marquardt, leading pioneer and teacher of reflexology will be presenting her ‘Reflexotherapy of the Feet’ (RTF) two day training seminar here in London The name of Hanne Marquardt will be well known to you if you have studied the history of Reflexology and its key figures! Hanne Marquardt studied with “The Mother of Reflexology”, Eunice Ingham in the late 1950′s. Previously to meeting Eunice, Hanne had spent nine years studying her work. Since then she has spent a lifetime refining and developing Reflexology and made some crucial adaptations changing the name of what she practiced and taught to Reflexotherapy.Hanne Marquardt now lives in the Black Forest in Germany and has trained over 30,000 people. Due to her own medical training, she has taught those with a medical-therapeutic background and also validated and researched her findings with her own patients. This event promises to be informative and inspiring. Do not miss this opportunity to learn from one of the greats of Reflexology!

The Manzanares Method™ Of Reflexology
A Science-Based Course For The Reflexology Professional
Developed And Taught By Dr Jesus Manzanares, M.D.
This continuing education course in reflexology is based on 30 years of research and proven clinical techniques of Dr. Jesus Manzanares, M.D.
Exclusively developed for the reflexology professional by an integrative medicine physician and researcher, this cutting-edge training is unique to traditional reflexology education. Dr. Manzanares travels from Barcelona, Spain to personally instruct the classes in the U.S. and now for the very first time in the UK.
The training is open to all health professionals, doctors and educators and provides a rare chance to learn beside this contemporary pioneer who has impacted the field of reflexology with his ground-breaking contributions. There is no prerequisite required; however a reflexology foundation is advised. There is a strong focus on hands-on work with extensive demonstrations and a combination of lecture, student’s exchanges and learning the reflex areas by drawing on each other's feet. Every student will experience Dr. Manzanares' personal reflexology touch.
Media teaching aids include video projection of demonstrations, MRI and radiology imaging, biopsy study graphics, EEG graphs and research slides. Each class varies in presentation and can include but is not limited to the following topics:
- Reflexology concept from a scientific perspective
- The nervous system's role in reflexology
- Neuro-physiology of the reflexology impulse
- Biopsy of foot tissue deposits to study composition
- Deposit characteristics related to specific disorders
- Manzanares Method foot-to-body mapping
- Components for reflexology protocols
- Theoretical vs. real foot assessment
To gain a deeper understanding of the therapeutic and clinical application of reflexology requires in-depth education beyond basic reflexology training. It requires knowledge of sound neuro-physiological principles and science-based theory. Reflexology’s increasing role within contemporary healthcare has widened the opportunities for professional reflexologists.
“Reflexology can be defined as a reflex technique that is based on the neurobiochemical action produced by stimulating a specific area of the foot that results in a general or partial repercussion in the body. This is possible because of the somatotopic representation (mapping) of the human body on the foot, where every organ is reflected on the foot”.Jesus Manzanares, MD
Students report that the Manzanares Method™ of Reflexology has impacted them more than any other reflexology training. Dr. Manzanares pulls the participants into a world of advanced science-based knowledge about the body’s neurophysiology and the foot-to-body connection. Dr. Manzanares' curriculum for classes in the U.S. and now the UK is based on his original goals he has achieved in reflexology research.
Students will learn how fundamental these research findings are for all reflexologists:
- Validation of how reflexology works (mechanism of action)
- Accurate anatomically-based maps of foot reflex areas and the foot-to-body connection
- Specific reflexology protocols for health conditions and disease
