About Professional Reflexology
The Professional Reflexology Association (PR) is a UK membership organisation for student and qualified reflexologists, with members internationally too. It was founded in 2010 by reflexologists and tutors with over 100 years' combined experience, to raise and maintain standards in reflexology practice and training.
We promote, inform and support. We promote public understanding of reflexology, support our members with insurance, resources, business help and advertising, and champion high-quality, hands-on training through our Affiliated Schools.
PRM stands for Professional Reflexology Member. It shows that the reflexologist belongs to a professional organisation, has met our membership standards, follows our Codes of Practice and Ethics, and is covered by Public and Professional Liability Insurance.
Joining PR
There are two main routes:
- Route 1: Graduates of UK courses that map to, or exceed, the National Occupational Standards (NOS) for Reflexology and comply with the Core Curriculum for Reflexology. Overseas reflexologists trained to their own national standards who can get suitable insurance may also apply.
- Route 2: Practitioners who didn't train on one of those courses but have been in practice for three years or more.
In exceptional circumstances, the PR Board will consider applications outside these routes.
Get in touch before applying. Call 01858 575 410 or use our contact form and we'll help you check.
Choose your plan on the Membership Plans page and complete the online sign-up form. You will need your choice of payment card. We will ask you for your certificate of qualification, course details, proof of insurance, and proof of three years' practice if you are applying via Route 2.
